I was lucky enough to grow up in blissful isolation in the beautiful rugged Scottish west coast. It inspired my imagination as did the wonderous stories and characters I read about in books. (33)

My dream was to go to Art school but my career took a different turn. I never gave up on my art, I taught myself and experimented with different techniques. I am completely unapologetic about my eclectic style. I have had a couple of solo exhibitions

in Aberdeen, been involved in group exhibitions around Scotland. (57)

I love to capture the pure emotion of a moment.

Strongly influenced/ inspired by the raw emotional power and beauty of nature. Strive to capture the essence/soul of my subject.

How life is turbulent and calm and how ur art changes everyday about what I want to express.

I like using acrylics and drawing with pencil and inks, I especially like to sketch and then digitally paint or manipulate my artwork. Mainly I paint for pleasure, but I do commissions and have been involved in projects, including work for calendars, murals, caricatures and illustrations. I have had my work displayed in various shows, including 2 successful solo exhibitions in Aberdeens' Belmont Cinema.

"The state of our heart at the moment of applying paint to a canvas

gets into the mix somehow.

What our audience actually 'gets' when they regard our work is simply

how we felt while we were doing it."
